INTRODUCTION:
When I came up with the idea for this program, I wanted it to be much more than simply one person coaching and one person being coached. I wanted to create a unique and collaborative environment that would result in real change. Something that would make a difference that “makes a difference.”
I have come to appreciate, through my own journey, what the value of living a full and meaningful life really means. It has been said that the two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why. This program will not only help you discover that why, but understand how being empowered by that why will help you create a legacy that you never even could have imagined was possible.
The name of my business is Building What Matters and WHAT MATTERS IS PEOPLE! I believe there is no greater gift we can give that to believe in someone and that includes ourselves. In this program we will encourage, empower and support each other and provide the accountability needed to succeed.
For over two years, I have been reading, writing, speaking and filing on over 100 topics and this program is the net result of my study of how these topics impact both our personal and professional lives. I have broken down these topics into the 5 Pillars and within the Pillars have broken them down additionally into “personal”, “business” and “community.” What I discovered while building this program was that these 5 Pillars are about much more than business, they are a framework in which we can build a significant life around as well.
As a coach, I am a firm believer that there is no better way to get “to the heart of things” as they say, than through the coaching process. That being said, I know and understand that many people are either unclear on what the coaching process is, how it works, or simply are not willing to commit the money required to hire a full time coach. Knowing and believing in the value of the coaching process, I wanted to build this program around making it possible for more people to not only have a way to experience the coaching process, but to be able to afford it as well.
Additionally, the opportunity to be closely connected to like-minded individuals, or as one of my mentors puts it “People that believe what you believe, but think different thoughts” can and will be invaluable.
HOW IT WORKS
Every other Monday for 30 weeks, you will be emailed a growth guide on one of the 15 segments within this program. The guide will include some of my thoughts and insights related to the topic as well as useful resources such as books, website links, video files and audio files.
In additional there will be several open ended questions, within the topics, that will challenge you to really evaluate and think about the answer you might respond with. This is where the good stuff happens. When we start asking better questions, we start getting better answers. Get ready for some really great questions!
Thursday night of that same week at 5:00 PM pacific time, 8:00 PM eastern there will be a call in which I give a teaching lesson which will often include stories from my life and the lessons I learned from those experiences. Following the teaching segment will by a fairly free forum discussion of that segment or something else that you need help or work in. This may include coaching, mentoring or simply an open discussion. This call is designed to meet the specific needs of the team at that time.
The following Thursday will be a coaching call. This call will be focused around the questions from the growth guide. We will take a much deeper look at how these topics impact your life and the lives of those around you. This is where the needle will move. I have found that most people that are stuck or are lacking clarity, simply do not understand where they want to go or why they want to get there. This program will provide both. You will end up with great clarity on your purpose and the direction you want to go.
To simplify – the schedule for each of the 15 segments will look like this:
- Monday WK1 – Email with growth guide
- Thursday WK1 – 1 Hour Teaching, Q&A Call (5pm pacific / 8pm eastern)
- Thusday WK2 – 1 Hour Coaching Call (5pm pacific / 8pm eastern)
